IsoWhey can be used either as a drink or it can even be used in baking, or cooking to add a hit of protein to any recipe. It’s just limited by your imagination!

Losing weight when working irregular shifts is possible! The best time to have your IsoWhey breakfast smoothie would still be after you wake up (even if it is at 7pm) as your body will need the energy and nutrition provided by IsoWhey to kick off your "day". Your biggest challenge will probably be avoiding sugary and fatty snacks. Try to pack healthy meals high in low-fat protein, such as skinless chicken breast, and have some almonds handy if you are feeling peckish throughout the night. Most of all, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water!

A new diet and exercise plan can shock the body into delivering fast results - that is, until the body adapts to the new routine. Therefore, variety is such an important part of the weight loss process. Mix things up by varying the foods that you are eating and your fitness routine. Keep a food diary to assess your diet and lifestyle, and exercise routine.

Wear a pedometer to see how much physical activity you are achieving each day. Another thing to keep in mind is that the IsoWhey Programs also help you build muscle mass, and muscle weighs more than body fat. If you have increased muscle mass then you will weigh more... this is a good thing though, as more muscle mass assists with greater fat loss.

Remember: It's not all about the scales - but how your clothes fit!!

Each body is different, that’s why it is important to calculate your Base Metabolic Rate (BMR) to find out how many calories you should be eating.

We recommend that IsoWhey is consumed immediately after blending or shaking. That's because, yes, its nutritional composition does change somewhat, but mostly, it tastes so much better when freshly blended!

IsoWhey has a low Glycaemic Index and is meant to create a feeling of fullness. It is perfectly normal to not feel hungry while on the IsoWhey Program. If you are feeling bloated, this can sometimes occur when first starting a high protein diet. We've added probiotic bacteria to IsoWhey to help the body cope with these changes, but it's possible that your digestive system is taking a little longer to adjust, and it should subside after just a few days. If discomfort persists, or if you are concerned, don't be afraid to speak to your healthcare professional.

Anyone can use IsoWhey; it's not all about weight management. You can most certainly enjoy IsoWhey as a nutritious fruit smoothie during the day for a source of protein, probiotics, minerals and vitamins - nutrients that your body needs for lean muscle development, healthy bones, general wellbeing, and other nutritional benefits.

Why am I not losing weight?

If you are following all dietary guidelines other reasons might be:

•  Poor sleep - hormonal disturbances impair fat burning and promote fat storage due to lack of sleep. The body looks for another way to find energy and quick fuel such as cakes and biscuits to fill the requirement.
•Stress - when the body is under stress it makes more of a hormone that actually increases the appetite and stores fat - generally around the mid-section.
• Hormones influence weight and cravings and any sudden shifts or even mild imbalances can have a huge effect on weight gain.
• Medications have side effects of which weight gain and gastrointestinal disturbances are common - you may need to discuss this with your healthcare practitioner.
• Water is a natural appetite suppressant and quite often hunger is mistaken for thirst - try increasing your water intake.
• Weight loss is a shift in personal attitude, a lifestyle change that will work if there is some goal setting. Keep a food diary which can help keep a check on food intake.
• Quite often there has been a body shape change which can be measured via the waist, or how clothing fits, even though there has been no weight loss which is also significant to the goal.

Diarrhoea can be a problem for anyone making changes to their diet. Acute diarrhoea may last 1-2 days and usually resolves on its own without any special treatment.

It is possible that changes you've made to your diet by starting on the IsoWhey program have caused a digestive disturbance. If you are mixing your IsoWhey with milk, you may be experiencing some intolerance to the lactose or casein in the milk, which can be difficult for some people to digest.

Other causes can include viral, bacterial, parasitic infections, reactions to medication, intestinal diseases, such as Crohns disease, Ulcerative Colitis and functional bowel disorders such as IBS (irritable bowel syndrome).

If your diarrhoea persists, stop taking your IsoWhey and consult with your healthcare practitioner.

This symptom can occur when first starting a diet higher in protein than you're accustomed to. It indicates your digestive system is taking some time to adjust to the change and should subside after a few days.

It may be that you are not drinking sufficient water or that you are not getting sufficient fibre and/or essential fats. Aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water or equivalent every day. Increase your "good" essential fats (monounsaturated and polyunsaturated) found in nuts and seeds, avocados, olive oil and oily fish and bump up your vegetable intake which can add soluble fibre to your diet and help promote digestion and elimination.

A change in diet can cause digestive disturbances or highlight issues within the gastrointestinal tract that sometimes need to be addressed such as food intolerances, allergies or dysbiosis. Also introducing a natural diet full of fruit and vegetables, nuts and seeds can cause disturbances as it may provide a higher amount of fibre than usual in the diet.

It is recommended to start off with one serving per day of IsoWhey and build up to the recommended serving, this will help the body adjust. It may be best to take the IsoWhey with water, yoghurt and some fruit or an alternative to milk such as rice milk, in the event milk consumption is an issue.

IsoWhey contains active friendly bacteria that replenish the good bacteria in the intestinal tract and help restore normal bowel function over time.

IsoWhey is made from Whey Protein, which is derived from milk. IsoWhey Plant-Based is suitable for vegans.
